Millbrae
The City of Millbrae is located on the Peninsula, 15 miles south of San Francisco, adjacent to the San Francisco International Airport and located in the middle of San Mateo County. Major freeways border both its eastern and western boundaries, making Millbrae easily accessible from all parts of the Bay Area.
Millbrae retains its “small town” feel, while undergoing a major downtown revitalization and anticipating the entry of regional transit into the City. Many hillside homes enjoy beautiful bay views. Well-cared for middle-class neighborhoods, twelve local parks and the Green Hills Country Club add to the charm of the residential community.
Shopping
Millbrae is known for its wonderful restaurants and casual dining options. And every Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, The Milbrae Chamber of Commerce sponsors Milbrae Farmers Market in the City Parking Lot on Broadway between La Cruz and Victoria Avenue.
Education
Millbrae has a reputation for having some of the best schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Parents are actively involved in their children’s scores and school functions,[9]
Millbrae School District oversees four public elementary schools, and one middle school, and one public high school, Mills High School, which is part of the San Mateo Union High School District. Mills High School is the highest scoring high school, test-wise, in San Mateo County.
Millbrae has one private school at Saint Dunstan’s, a Catholic church. The school provides education for grades K-8.
