Belmont
Next to San Carlos is Belmont, meaning “beautiful mountain” in French, a quiet residential community halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. Situated primarily on the hills overlooking San Francisco Bay and the coastal range, the area is abundant in trees, vast canyons and gorgeous wooded hillsides. Homes are nestled throughout, reflecting a solid residential base.
Shopping
The Belmont Plaza Shopping Center located north of Ralston Avenue on El Camino Real has a wonderful variety of retail stores, services and eating places. Carlmont Village Shopping Center located on Alameda de Las Pulgas at Ralston has retained its quaint village atmosphere with 31 stores and services and 19 professional offices.
Education
There are excellent private and public schools with exceptionally high test scores and one of the few peninsula Universities in Notre Dame De Namur on the site of the historic Ralston Mansion.
E & E’s Local Favorites
Check out Godfather’s Burgers on El Camino. Fun ambiance and great burgers. Erich’s favorite deli for salami-mortadella-provolone on a dutch crunch roll is Lorenzo’s Sandwich Shop at 911 Villa Avenue.
